Registered solemniser
Hi! I’m Gerard Doody, founder of Sunrise to Sunset Ceremonies. As a FuturFaith Minister and legal solemniser in both the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland, I’m passionate about creating unforgettable ceremonies full of love and meaning!
I’ve been married to my amazing wife Caroline for 37 years, and we have three wonderful children. My work with the National Ambulance Service lets me meet and help people every day, which is a true honour—and those same values of dignity, respect, and compassion guide me as a celebrant!
I became a celebrant with FuturFaith to bring joy and inclusivity to all kinds of special occasions. From legal weddings and elopements to vow renewals, naming ceremonies, and bespoke commitment ceremonies, I love helping people celebrate their love and life stories. Themed weddings? Yes, please! Enhancements like handfasting, sand blending, or ring warming? Let’s do it!
I’m also here to support families through tougher times with Celebration of Life ceremonies that truly honour a loved one’s memory. My goal is always to craft a ceremony that’s uniquely you—one that’s heartfelt, meaningful, and simply amazing.
Let’s create something unforgettable together!
