Why we do what we do
Our purpose
At FuturFaith, we exist to restore the soul of ceremony in modern Irish life.
We believe that moments of transition—like getting married, saying goodbye, or welcoming new life—deserve to be marked with depth, dignity, and a genuine sense of meaning.
For too long, ceremony has been seen as either a religious rite or a bureaucratic formality.
But we know it can be more. At its best, a ceremony is a mirror—one that reflects not just a moment in time, but the essence of the people at the centre of it.
That’s why we’re here.
To train, support, and inspire a new wave of independent, non-religious officiants across Ireland and Northern Ireland who can craft ceremonies that feel as real, personal, and profound as the lives they honour.
Ceremony doesn’t need to be ancient to be sacred. It just needs to be honest. And we believe that every person deserves access to ceremony that speaks their language, their values, and their truth.
Whether it’s love, loss, birth, or growth, we’re here to help people mark what matters—without compromise, without dogma, and with all the care in the world.
What we do
FuturFaith is Ireland’s leading provider of non-religious training for legal ceremony officiants.
Our flagship course, Path to Ministry, prepares students to become solemnisers—legally recognised to marry couples in the Republic of Ireland and perform ceremonies across the island.
But we go far beyond weddings.
Our curriculum is modern, inclusive, and practical—combining legal training, public speaking, storytelling, grief literacy, and creative writing with professional development tools for a real-world career. And because we understand the emotional depth of this work, we also nurture our students’ confidence, self-reflection, and personal growth throughout.
We are a school, a platform, and a movement—building the future of ceremony from the ground up.
Our values
We are proud to be non-religious, but deeply spiritual in our approach to meaning.
We are grounded in values that shape how we teach, how we support our students, and how we believe ceremony should function in the world:
Most of all, we believe that ceremony is a human right—and it should be available to everyone, in language and style that resonates with their life and values.
Our vision
FuturFaith was born from a simple but radical idea:
That Ireland and the world beyond are ready for a new kind of ceremonial leadership.
We envision a future where independent celebrants are as respected, supported, and recognised as their religious counterparts—because love, grief, and growth don’t belong to any one tradition. They belong to us all.
We see a future where:
We’re here to shape that future—not by rejecting the past, but by evolving it.
By taking the heart of Irish ceremony and giving it a modern, inclusive voice.
We know this work matters—because we see its impact every day.
In the tears of a couple hearing their love story out loud for the first time.
In the silence that follows a powerful goodbye.
In the strength of a celebrant who once doubted themselves, now holding space with pride.
FuturFaith is where future traditions begin.
And we believe the future is full of meaning—because we’re helping people create it, one ceremony at a time!
At FuturFaith, we accept new students 24/7, meaning you don't have to wait for an upcoming enrolment date.
