Getting Started

During Training

After Graduation

Answer

Graduation marks the transition from training into professional practice, but there are several important steps that happen after your final assessments.

Once you pass your assessments, the next stage includes:

1. Signing the Futur+ membership agreement

This allows FuturFaith to formally support your registration, listing, and continued development.

Details about Futur+ are available on the Joining Futur+ page.

2. Creating your celebrant profile

The FuturFaith IT team creates your celebrant profile on the website, which can later be used in directories and public listings.

More details about celebrant profiles can be found on the Building Your Celebrant Profile page.

3. Submitting your nomination papers

Our nominator submits your documentation to the relevant authorities, such as the HSE in Ireland and/or NI Direct in Northern Ireland.

4. Awaiting approval

There is a short administrative waiting period while your nomination is reviewed. Processing times vary and are outside the control of FuturFaith.

Once registration is confirmed, you gain legal authority to solemnise ceremonies across Ireland and/or Northern Ireland, including legally-binding weddings.

As a Futur+ member, you also gain continued access to:

  • Advanced and ongoing training,
  • New resources and updated materials,
  • Community support and alumni connection, and
  • Guidance as your practice grows.

Graduation is not the end of the journey. It is the point at which you move from training into active, supported practice as a FuturFaith Minister.
