Question

Getting Started

During Training

After Graduation

Answer

There is no expectation that you begin offering ceremonies immediately after graduation.

Graduation gives you the training, tools, and permission to begin, but how and when you step into active celebrant work is entirely your choice.

Many graduates choose to:

  • Take time to reflect on their training before taking bookings,
  • Begin with non-legal ceremonies to build confidence,
  • Practise scripts and delivery privately or with peers, or
  • Ease into ceremonies alongside other work or commitments.

Others feel ready to begin straight away. Both approaches are valid.

The Path to Ministry course is designed to prepare you thoroughly, but it also recognises that confidence and readiness look different for everyone. You are not measured by speed, but by how grounded and intentional you are in your work.

Support for early-stage confidence-building is available through Shadowing Sessions and, if you choose to join, Futur+.
