After Graduation

Answer

Your ability to conduct legally-binding weddings does not begin automatically at graduation.

If you choose to pursue legal authority, the timeline depends on several factors, including:

  • When you choose to join Futur+,
  • Completion of nomination paperwork,
  • Processing times with external authorities, and
  • Whether you are registering in Ireland, Northern Ireland, or both.

Once your nomination is submitted, there is a waiting period while it is reviewed and processed. These timelines are outside the control of FuturFaith and can vary.

It is also important to note that:

  • Registration with GRO NI requires an existing wedding booking in Northern Ireland.
  • Non-legal ceremonies can still be offered while registration is pending.

A detailed explanation of registration pathways and requirements can be found in the Legalities & Solemnising section.
