Shadowing Sessions

Question

Getting Started

During Training

After Graduation

Answer

Shadowing sessions give you the opportunity to observe an experienced FuturFaith celebrant conducting a real ceremony, in a real setting, with real couples, guests, and venues.

They are designed to bridge the gap between theory and practice. While course modules and assignments teach structure, language, and legal requirements, shadowing shows you how all of that translates into live ceremony work.

During a shadowing session, you will:

  • Observe how a ceremony flows in real time,
  • See how celebrants adapt to timing changes and unexpected moments,
  • Notice how venues, guests, and suppliers are managed on the day, and
  • Experience the atmosphere, pacing, and energy of a live ceremony.

Shadowing is not an assessment and does not replace your written assignments or final assessments.

Instead, it complements your training by exposing you to the “in-between” moments that are difficult to capture in lesson videos alone.

Shadowing fits alongside your other training stages, such as coursework, mock calls, and final assessments, all of which are outlined in Your Training Journey.
