Answer

The length of the Path to Ministry training journey varies from student to student, depending on pace, availability, and how quickly you move through each stage.

There is no fixed end date, and the journey is designed to be flexible while still following a clear, structured process.

In practical terms, most students complete the core training within 2 to 5 months.

This includes working through all modules, completing assignments, and receiving tutor feedback. Some students move faster, while others take longer due to work, family commitments, or personal circumstances.

Your journey typically includes the following stages:

1. Enrolment and course access

Once you enrol, you gain access to the course platform. If you pay in full, all modules unlock immediately. If you choose instalments, access pauses at set milestones until the next payment is made. More detail on this is available on the Fees & Payments page.

2. Completing the course modules

You progress through lessons, quizzes, written assignments, and resources at your own pace. These modules are designed to reflect real-world ceremony work and prepare you for weddings, funerals, and other life ceremonies. See What You’ll Learn for a full breakdown.

3. Mock call and preparation

Before graduation, you complete a mock call with FuturFaith tutors. This is a rehearsal stage where your wedding and funeral ceremonies are practised and refined ahead of assessment. This stage is explained further in the Support & Contact and Feedback & Grading pages, as well as the relevant FAQ page.

4. Final in-person assessments

After passing your mock call, you attend final assessments at FuturFaith HQ in Dundalk. These assessments usually take place over half a day and involve delivering a full legal wedding and a full funeral ceremony.

5. Registration and waiting period

Following graduation, your nomination is submitted for registration. Processing times vary, and this waiting period is outside the course timeline.

The journey is designed to prioritise readiness and confidence rather than speed, ensuring you are fully prepared before stepping into legal ceremony work.
