Answer

It is completely normal to occasionally feel unsure about feedback, especially when you are developing your own voice and style as a celebrant.

If a comment or suggestion does not immediately make sense to you, the next step is not to second-guess yourself or blindly apply changes. Instead, you are encouraged to engage with the feedback and seek clarification.

Here is how that usually works:

1. Re-read the feedback alongside your original submission

Often, comments make more sense when viewed in the context of the full ceremony or assignment.

2. Reflect on the real-world intent behind the suggestion

Feedback is grounded in live ceremony experience. Even when a change feels small on paper, it is usually tied to how something lands when spoken aloud or experienced by a couple or family.

3. Reach out through the usual support channels

If something still feels unclear, you can contact the team to ask for clarification. This is part of the learning process and is not viewed negatively.

Feedback is not about enforcing a single “right” way to write or speak. It is about helping you understand how choices affect clarity, tone, legality, and the experience of those present at a ceremony.

Support options are outlined in the Support & Contact section.
